Welcome to the National Blood Clot Alliance (NBCA) Stop the Clot(R) online support community, an online resource that provides a safe and supportive space for people affected by blood clots and clotting disorders to gather, share their stories, and interact with other members. Perhaps, most importantly, our Stop the Clot(R) support community is a place where you can both inspire and be inspired.

This community is being launched with a focus on the information needs of women affected by blood clots and clotting disorders, and is expected to evolve and grow to reflect the diverse information needs of the overall blood clotting disorders community.

This tremendous opportunity for community building and sharing is made possible with generous support to the NBCA, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, from the Alexandra L. Rowan Foundation, in memory of Alexandra Rowan, who lost her life at the young age of 23 to a massive pulmonary embolism or blood clot in her lung.

NBCA is the largest patient advocacy organization dedicated to advancing the prevention, early diagnosis and successful treatment of life-threatening blood clots, such as deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, and clot-provoked stroke. NBCA accomplishes its mission through programs that build public awareness, educate patients and healthcare professionals, and promote supportive public and private sector policy.
