Prolia shot, finally

Had my first Prolia shot two days ago, finally. I have asthma, so had put it off because I was afraid of a bad reaction. Absolutely fine but a little tired yesterday. Today my shoulder hurts, but then it always does. Sooo optimistic.

Gooooooood luck! Nothing else has worked for you, I suppose? Keep us posted!

Well, I was no Foxomax for ten years and then was taken off. For a few years the change was within acceptable limits. Then last year, there was significant deterioration in my hip and my back. I have no idea when they will do another DEXA. I would imagine after at least two doses. Medicare is sort of strict about that. Thanks for good thoughts.

I thought I saw that the govt had put a warning out on Prolia?

This is the info on Prolia posted on the FDA site, 7/11. I'm not finding anything more recent.

mko, I also have asthma and understand how that has to factor in your decisions. I finally had to take Xolair shots for the asthma, and they come with some scary warnings attached, but for me it was life changing in a good way. Most of the people here are trying to help their osteo with non prescription vitamins and minerals. If you haven't researched that, check out some of the discussions. Hopefully some of the Prolio folks will see your post and let you know how they are doing. I am glad you are feeling well.

I too pray you will see great improvements without bad effects. Do let us all know. Thanks.
