Valentine's Day is a Time to Think of Our Loved Ones

Dear Friends and Supporters of Us TOO,

Excited by Valentine's Day? It is just around the corner, and this time of love has us thinking about the companions, partners, spouses and family members of those thousands of men battling prostate cancer. Formed in the fall of 2004, Us TOO's Companions and Families Advisory Panel has been finding ways to inform, acknowledge, and uplift family caregivers and companions and created the Circles of Love program.

Us TOO's Companions and Families Advisory Panel is dedicated to the support and education for loved ones of prostate cancer patients, focusing on self care as well as patient care. Support and education will be provided through the Us TOO website, dedicated resource materials, social media, peer mentoring and special programs.

With the guidance and suggestions from this panel, we have created several resources that you and your loved ones may find useful:

Wow what an impressive list of resources.
I would only add that other dates of importance; birthday, anniversary, holidays and holydays, do mean much more to men and women than Valentine’s Day. Recommend care givers and family members learn and make personal contact with grieving care receivers on dates of specific importance to the individual, not just culturally commercial phony dates.

Excellent point about the other more personal dates for couples and families to remember and honor each other, PeteG!

We were using the opportunity of the upcoming, nationally known Feb 14th date to highlight all the resources Us TOO has available for companions and family members that some might not know about. Thanks for noticing the "impressive list!" I invite others to check them out for themselves if they haven't already done so.
