I am 32 years old and was recently diagnosed with EoE after an ER visit to remove an impacted piece of steak from my esophagus. I was giving a PPI to take twice a day for 8 weeks, but I do not have a history of acid reflux. The doctor that I followed up with after the ER visit diagnosed me from the biopsies taken during the ER visit. He spent about 15 minutes with me during the follow ... Read More

Hello, I just recently went through allergy testing for EoE. I believe it was a skin prick test on my back, where they only found dust mites to be the only allergic reaction I had. They tested milk, wheat, soy, eggs, fish, peanuts/other sorts of nuts. They found NO ALLERGIC reaction which I found to be very strange. I have seen posts where people have said they took skin prick tests ... Read More

Hello friends. Been diagnosed with EoE around 2 months ago after 6 months of symptoms. On pantoprazole, ranitidine and flovent throat spray as well as asthma meds my doc thinks my adult onset asthma was a result of eosinophilia as well as a wbc iritis attack last year. Also put me on a 5-10 day prednisone stint that I have finished. Two endoscopies later it still feels like I am swallowing ... Read More
