I'm so sorry to hear that. My dad passed away grasping for air also, I pray you didn't have to see that. It's a sight I will never forget. You will be in my prayers everyday. I try to keep my dad alive by talking about him and keeping the stories alive. That way he's always here. So if you ever want to share a story, I'm hear and I'll listen

Jane,
I am so sorry about your dad passing away. My prayers go out to you and your family. When my sister died years ago, someone sent a quote that I thought was very comforting..."Where there is love, there is life." ~Ghandi
I am sorry for your loss, sending BIG HUGS YOUR WAY.
Kelly
I am so sorry to hear the news. I hope the warm memories of him can embrace you during this difficult time. Though he may not be physically there, he is always with you in spirit. You are in my thoughts.

I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. My sympathies and prayers are going to you and your family. I lost my dad 27 years ago to lung cancer. He was about 100 pounds when he died. He is out of his pain and in a better place. Please cherish the memories. They will bring smiles and happiness to you. That is what he would want.
Jen
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I lost my mother years ago to what started out as uterine cancer and ended up in her lungs. Then I lost my father 13 years later (heart attacks). It is very difficult -- but you will always carry memories with you. I will always love my parents and miss them. I have lung cancer also now and know how important it is to have the support around you of someone like you. Your father was very fortunate to have a daughter like you to care so much about him. And I'm sure he knew and knows it.
The Mary Tyler Moore Show that was on TV back, I believe in the 1970s had an award winning show on death. I have always remembered it. Mary Tyler Moore on the show worked at a TV station. Chuckles the Clown from their station died. Everyone in her TV group stated laughing over memories of him. Mary got really offended and was crying and saying to her co-workers how can you laugh at a time like this. Well, they go to the funeral and everyone starts crying except Mary. She starts thinking about all the funny things Chuckles had done and couldn't stop laughing. People started staring at her.
So, laugh, cry, get your feelings out, look at pictures and always carry the beautiful memories of your father with you. I hoped this has helped you a little -- e-mail any time you wish.
Blessings to you and your family,
Caroline (Clewis)
My deepest condolences in the loss of your Dad. I was with my Dad when he passed and I shall forever be thankful I was there to "see him off". We struggle coming into this world so I guess it should not be surprising that we might struggle leaving. But you were there for him when he needed you and he knows that!
((((hugs))))) and warm regards,
Rose
