I got my ultrasound results yesterday and it turns out that the lining of my uterus is almost twice as thick as it should be. So I am going for an Endometrial Biopsy on July 16th.

TIff,

It sounds like you're getting good care. If you've missed some periods, your endometrial lining would be thicker, since your body hasn't been shedding it.

That's one reason that comes to mind immediately. Having said that, push the doctors to do tests quickly to find out what's going on. As others have said, this could very well be something easily treatable that isn't cancer.

I've had 3 or 4 endometrial biopsies over the years.

Check with your doctor for an o.k., but before you go for your biopsy, take a tylenol or another mild painkiller. They should have already told you this, but many women will have light bleeding for a few days after this procedure. They'll have sanitary napkins for you, but if you prefer a certain brand, take your own with you.

You're still in our prayers. Let us know what's next.

Blessings.
