0 Recommendations

Hi all
well i just got my results from the colposcopy and a repeat pap test as the first pap test showed that i had cin1/hpv..im confused because the colposcoyp results say that i have 'low grade mild dysplasia..possible abnormality'..i asked the hospital does this mean i have cin1 and they said no....but mayble just a little abnormality??? and then told me to come back in 12months time for a repeat pap.....any advice would be much appreciated...

CIN1 is mild dysplasia. i would encourage you to talk with your doctor to better understand your test results, and perhaps also request a copy of your medical records. and, if you have are currently testing positive for high risk hpv in addition to having CIN1, then you probably want your follow up in 6 months - not 12. sounds like a discussion with your doctor - rather than just someone giving you test results - is what's needed next!

Thank you flowershoplady
i am going back to the doctor cause he doesnt agree that i should wait 12mnths...some do but he said that its best that i get treated before it gets any worse...as cancer runs in my family (my brother and my grandparents all died of cancer)...and also i requested a ct scan a few wks ago and now i have a tumor on my right kidney that needs to be removed...so im going to see a eurologist on the 7/7/09 for that..its taken me 6 months to finally convince the docs why i have this constant pain on my lower back....all they kept telling me is because ive had 5 heavy babies...so ive changed 3 docs untill finally i have gone back to my original one...hes fantastic...will keep everyone posted..
god bless you
