Does Nytol Help?

0 Recommendations

I have started getting this frequent nightmares somewhere around 2 am every night. Once I wake up I cannot get myself to sleep till 6 am. I feel sleepy at around 6.30 am but then I got to get up by 7.00 am to go to the office. This is really taking a major toll on my mental health and I am tired most of the time. My friend suggested nytol but I am not sure how safe this and if it can be taken without prescriptions. Please advice..

Personally I would not take Nytol. You are looking for something you can do long term to help you sleep better. I would be tempted to try a glass of wine, or something Dr. recommended. There has to be a reason why you are having dreams and not sleeping well. Maybe the meds you are on could be changed to better suit you. I take amatryptaline (not spelled right) at bedtime because I have restless leg syndrom and it also helps me sleep. There are no side effects for me and I take a very low dose. Hope you find what you are looking for but Nytol doesn't sound like a good choice. Diane

Please consider a sleep test. I thought they were a joke, until a new neurologist suggested it, and my husband insisted. He actually decribed what I was doing in the night to my husband and he was right. It showed I had sleep apnea, which woke me and my brain was keeping me awake so I wouldn't stop breathing again. A CPAP has taken care of that. When he studied the test, he realized I also have some other sleep disorders and had the wrong diagnosis for years. Sleep effects all aspects of our lives including memory and physical health. It is worth a study in a good lab.
