Know what you mean Nanamo-I just hug family and friends now and they all know not to come near me when they are sick. I just had a cold/sore throat for over a week and I'm not allowed to take anything either. Oh, Cepacol throat lozengers-whoopee!! I get this whenever I push myself and do too much so was my own fault but sometimes I forget, am so use to doing as we all are. Hope you feel better, try taking it easy for a little bit. Don't get all nervous about flying with defib-I've flown at least 5 or 6 times since having 1st a regular pacer and then my current pacer/defib and had absolutely no problem. You can't go through the security bar things in airport. Need to show them your pacer/defib card and they'll take you aside and a female from security will pat you down. They may use the wand around your legs but do not let them do it any higher. Most of security know this but then there's always the idiots and just plain pain in the butts. That's really the only inconvenience, actual flying never caused any problem for me. If you have a long flight, make sure you get up and walk up and down the aisle off and on to help circulate your blood. And don't forget to have fun!! Take care and God bless-Kathy
