If you have Gerstmann-Straussler-Scheinker Disease Or GSS please let me know I would like to talk to you. My husband has this and is part of the Indiana kindred. If you are from the the united states than you are a relative of my husbands as we are the only family here that has this. There are other lines in other countrys but only one in the US.

And all of you who are involved in this GSS discussion - My husband lost his wife to this disease in 2005. He has 3 children who may or may not also carry the disease. His wife was from Louisiana and she lost her mother and 3 siblings to this disease. Her disease presented at about age 38 and she died at 43. This is a silent nightmare that hangs over our heads on a daily basis. There is a Doctor at Indiana University, Martin Farlow, who is studying this right now.
It is very enlightening to finally find a group that knows about this disease and is connected to it somehow!
