im asking for prayers for my brothers wife ,she has to have a biopsy done on her thyroid,please pray that it is not cancer.please pray for my brother and his family . lorie

Oh my. You know you have my prayers. Isnt it sad how rampant this ugly disease is? When ever you hear someone is feeling the slightest bit ill the words "I wonder if its cancer?" flash in our heads. Hopefully she doesnt have it or if she does its in the earliest of stages. God Bless. Ruthie (Lucy)

I am praying for your sisterinlaw and her family. Even though i had my thyroid biopsy over 20 years ago I can still remember it like it was yesterday. May God be with all of them during this time.

hey, Lorie,
I am also scheduled to have a biopsy done on my thyroid on Sept 18. I've done a lot of research on it - it sounds like they numb the area pretty good and use a dinky little needle to go in and suck out a little piece - afterwards, they put a weighted bag on to seal up the hole - in all, they say it takes about 20 minutes and it doesn't hurt but a little. Now....here's the worst-case scenario - the odds of it being bad are around 10% - and if it is bad, they yank all or part out - full recovery is 1-2 weeks with minimal chance of chemo (only if it's spread, which doesn't happen much). You know what? There are many worse things that can happen to a person. (don't we all know that?!) Please let your sister know that I'm praying for y'all -
