Mom found out on dec 23 that the cancer has spread in her liver even more. It has been 6 weeks since her last scan. She finished Chemo in Sept and Radiation in November. they were hoping for more like 4 months before it came back. She did have one spot on her lung that was 11mm six weeks ago and now it is 21mm. Two more spots also showed up. one is 19mm and the other is 18mm. She's staying very positive about the whole thing. Thats why i love that woman....she keeps me positive. we start chemo AGAIN hopefully the 12th of January.

Heavenly Father, Please put your arms around this family. Give them faith, hope and continued love. Give the doctors wisdom. Lord, if it is your will, banish this cancer from her body, but if that is not your will, help this family travel down the path you have set for them. In Christ's name I pray, Amen

I am glad your mom is staying positive. I really hope the new treatment works for her! Big hugs.

what i noticed most about your post is you writing "we start chemo again."it's so true when one family member or friend has cancer so do those who are close to him or her.i applaud your support for your Mom. your Mom is blessed to have you *wow*.not often enough people ask how the 'caregiver' is doing.i pray you keep and have the strength to go through this journey with your Mom and trust me your Mom is benefiting from your love and support.hope your well and for me as a cancer survivor-technichly since october 28th 2008 applaud your support.if 'you' ever need anything and i'm sure i can speak for us all "were here for you.'

Kristina, you are and have been my best friend through all of this. If it wasnt for the love i have for you and the love you constantly give i dont know that i could be so positive. I will fight my hardest to be able to be apart of your life for as long as i can. You inspire me!! I am so sorry you have to go through this! All my Love, MOM

I just joined this group yesterday and I was very touched by your entry. I joined because my mother is in the last stages of liver failure. She had lost most of her small bowel last year and needed TPN to live on. The same fluids that sustained her have also destroyed her liver. And I feel like I have been through this with her. Yesterday I brought her home from Mt. Sinai in NY after a week of care. But they had told me on Wednesday that there was nothing they could offer. As a daughter (and a physician) I found those words so hard to hear. So we took her home, jaundiced and itching, and starting to become confused. We don't want her readmitted so we will make her comfortable at home. I hope I have the strength to be there for her. My prayers go to you and to all families that care for their loved ones.

Kris

I have to say that you and your mom are two amazing women. What courage and strength you have together. It's so amazing that you and your mom can do this together and have the positive attitude.

My positive thoughts and prayers are with you and mom.

GOD BLESS,
LINDA

I am so sorry to hear this news. I pray that they can find something that will work with your mother. Hang in there and keep fighting. You are in our prayers and thoughts.

Hang in there and keep the faith, it will pull through as the care taker and for your sweet mom too. If you need other people lean on them and depend on them, They want to help you, I did and now I can repay back to all who need it, You are a caretaker, but you need some care and strength too. The modern technology of cancer will sustain your sweet mama I know. I had stage 3 and will be cancer fee for 1 year on Feb 13, 2009, one year from chemo YIPPEE.

Take care and I am here if you need me LKW101@aol.com or 832-688-8184

Hugs
Linda
