SHRINKAGE in his lung tumor!!!!

Also his brain mets, he had three and 15 WBR and now only one very small one is showing up!!!!
And even more good news NO ACTIVITY with the scan to his stomach!!!
He is going to stay on 21 day cycle of Gemzar and Carboplatin. Our onc is lowering the dose of Gemzar a little to help prevent his platelets from getting too low. Today his bloodwork was great, so he had Gemzar and Carbo, next Wed they will do bloodwork and Gemzar, the next Wed just bloodwork. Then we see the onc and continue on if all is well. He said he will probably do scans again in 2 or 3 months.
We are so happy, and he is so thankful that all the treatment and care he is receiving is helping him. Also he tolerates this combo quite well, just extra tired, and he sleeps alot for a few days after, other than that he feels good!!
Again thank you all so much for your prayers and support, maybe now I can relax a bit, and think positive thoughts for now.

Oh..... Karen I am so thrilled for you both!! Congratulations are in order here. Good luck with all of the fun things you will be doing this summer. Get to the beach, and the zoo and the picnics and the fishing, and the boat riding and the amusement parks, have fun!! you guys deserve to have fun, it is almost over with!! YES!! You did it.

Karen - Great news! I am sitting here with tears in my eyes as I can imagine how good you feel. I see you on here alot and as I go thru this with my husband I understand - I go on here all the time - I tell him it is my therapy and for the most part lifts me up!! Thank you all for your replys, yes it is a happy time, but like Deb said I want that other 30 percent too!!
He was only diagnosed in Jan, and has been such a fighter and really he is doing so well considering he is Stage IV.
I am going to visit my Aunt and cousin in Myrtle Beach for a few days, Sun-Tues, he said go, have some fun!! He is happy to stay here with our dogs, so I will go and stay away from the computer and try and have some fun.
Thanks again for all your support and prayers, I hope for NED and good reports for all to come one day!!
