We took Emma back to her neph on the 30th for her checkup after finishing Cytoxan. He has officially given her a clean bill of health (for the time being). Her blood test results were great and her urine was clear so as long as Emma stays in remission we don't have to see him again for 6 months!!! YEAH!!!! Not that I don't like Emma's neph but if I never have to see his face again.....it will suit me just fine!! LOL!
Emma is continuing to lose weight and the "moon face" gets less and less by the day. Her cheeks are still a bit round but in I was looking at pictures of her from Sept and Oct and the difference is INCREDIBLE!!! When I give her a bath now it amazes me how skinny she looks!!!
I continue to pray daily for Emma to say in remission FOREVER!! My thoughts go out to those of you who are battling or whose children are battling this condition! I will continue to include you all in my prayers. I thank you all for the responses to my many posts over the course of Emma's battle this year! Your words of wisdom and comfort have helped tremendously! Hopefully I won't have to post anymore questions or concerns about Emma but I will always continue to check this site and follow up on the progress of each of your stories!!

That is great news about Emma. It is amazing how their faces and bodies change after coming off prednisone. My son is back on it after 5 months of being totally off. It was amazing to see him change before our eyes. I hope and pray that Emma continues to be healthy, I know what you mean about not wanting to see her doctors. I say the same thing when he is done his treatments. All the best.
