The Orlando conference was wonderful. It was so terrific to be together. The speakers were fantastic -- I loved the videos of robotic surgery, but others reported that they covered their eyes. To each his/her own! But I now have a much better understanding of how it fits among the options we have for kidney treatments.
Our 15th Birthday Party was especially great -- many of the people who were with us in Kansas City in 1994 were there in Orlando to celebrate this milestone, including Debra Colllins from the University of Kansas who inspired me and Susan Warnick to take the plunge and start the group.
I had a lovely surprise myself -- a beautiful crystal statue, a gift from the Board, and a notebook of lovely tribute notes from so many of you! I really appreciate the lovely acknowledgement. It means a very great deal to me to hear sweet words from you.
