Hi All, I wanted to chat with anyone whom is paralyzed and in their 20's. I am 24/f and I would love to talk to someone who knows and understands what I go through on a daily basis. These walkies just don't get it.

hi irishlady

i have to say at the start that im not paralysed myself but for 16 years my husband andmyself cared for our son who was tetrapelgic - he had partial use of his right arm, otherwise he was totally dependent on us. i am disabled in that i have severe mobility problems - but even so i can walk sometimes. so between us we have a little bit of an idea of what you are going through - and just wanted to say that if you want someone to chat with - well, we are here.

take care. shelagh

I am a C6 female quad, but twice your age. However, I just learned how important the link is to people who are paralyzed. My good friend, Arlene Howe, who was also a quadriplegic, was killed last Friday in a car accident. With her passing I lost my strongest link to our reality.

Despite our age difference, if you want a shoulder to lean on or a brain to pick, please let me know.

Walkies! I still have tears from laughing, thank you! I've not heard that term applied to able-body's in all my 28 years on wheels. I'm pushing 50 and a guy so I don't fit what you're seeking, but I've been there and survived.
