HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE

0 Recommendations

WHEN I WAS DELIVERING MY SECOND CHILD MY BLOOD PRESSURE FIRST WAS NOTICED. NO SURPRISE BOTH PARENTS SUFFERED FROM HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, BUT THE DECEMBER RIGHT AFTER 9/11 I INJURED MY BACK AT WORK AND WAS RUSHED TO THE ER NOT BEING ABLE TO MOVE AND MY BP WAS 200/165. AT THAT TIME THE DOC ASKED IF I HAD HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE AND I TOLD HIM MY DOCTOR HAD PUT ME ON PILLS AND I TOOK MYSELF OFF, HE THEN SAID I WOULD BE ON PILLS AND THAT I DIDN'T HAVE A CHOICE. FROM THAT POINT ON I HAVE BEEN TAKING A LOW GRADE PILL. WHEN I CAME BACK TO CALIFORNIA IT WAS 145/90 BUT SOON AFTER CAME DOWN TO 120/80. THEN WHEN I HAD MY HYSTERECTOMY IT WAS RUNNING 105/57. BUT WHEN I HAD MY LAST SURGERY IT WAS BACK UP TO 120/90 AND THE WORKMAN'S COMP DOC SAID I DIDN'T HAVE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE AND WONDERED WHY I WAS TAKING MEDS FOR THIS YET I HAD A MINOR SURGERY IN NOV AND IT WAS 157/90. I KNOW 145 IS THE HIGH END OF LOW BUT WHAT DOES THE TOP AND BOTTOM NUMBERS MEAN AND WHY DO OTHER DOCTORS WHO DON'T KNOW MY HISTORY WOULD MAKE A DUMB COMMENT THAT I DIDN'T HAVE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE?
