What to expect when I get my treadmill cardiolite test back

1 Recommendation

I am 37 with diabetes and MVP and LEF and had the treadmill cardiolite test and waiting for the results. Have been doing a lot of reading up on the subject and fearing the worst. Especially when you have a 4 year old you know that depends on you for everything. I am already reading about possible surgeries and the outcome of them. I guess I am in panick mode. HELP!!!

Hi 2catty,

I sure do hear you about stressing out waiting for test results. That is a rough time...no doubt about it. Funny thing about kids. Having kids (and pets) that need you to get up and about can get a 'heart-tired' (different from regular tired) woman up when nothing else can I've always found.

When I get too overwhelmed it helps me to calm by repeating 'I have everything I need' in my mind.

Let us know .....we are here waiting with you : )

cheers,
Jaynie

Every test is filled with trepidation. I am due to go in for a device check for my pacemaker/defibillator and also a chemical stress. The last one was done about 4 months ago and as filled with angst as I was, the results were amazingly good. My EF was much better. I am hoping it is as good or better than that. I think the golf this summer and some walking has strengthened my heart. Some days it is pretty easy to do and others are almost impossible. I think watching the diet (no salt) and keeping myself rested has a big effect on how I feel.

Thanks ladies, it helps when you have someone to talk to that knows how this stuff feels. I try everyday not to think about it, but it is still so fresh it is hard not to. I plan on starting to play tennis today so wish me luck.
