Was anyone on yaz or yasmin?

The only risk factor I had before my SCAD and by pass surgery was that I was on this birthcontol. I was just curious if this could have caused it. Still searching for answers.

Me again -- are you sick of me yet!

I hadn't been on birth control for several years, but did use various ones in the past. The pill is something I highlighted as an area of interest in the SCAD proposal, so hopefully we'll get some info through the study.

Katherine,

So glad that this pill is an area of interest. I will never get sick of someone trying to find answers for me:)
Keep up the good work!

I was on yasmin when I had my MI (April 8th 2009) at age forty seven Everyday I wonder if this caused the MI. I know i can't change the past but I so wish that my primary and gynocologist warned me of the risk. I was on the birth control mainly to control my hair loss situation, (when I was not on birth control my hair would fall out) So....now I am not on birth control and my hair is thinning severly but as depressing as this is I would trade not having a MI.
Does anyone have a similiar event? Thanks Lynn
