I have had 8 cardiac stents in the past 6 years. Last one was just this past April. Last Friday, I had all the symptoms of another blockage: pain between my shoulder blades, cold sweats, nausea, fatigue, headache. Finally gave in and went to the ER. Passed all the tests as usual. My EKG was normal and cardiac enzymes were normal. Based on my past history, my cardiologist took me into the cath lab and found only a blockage in a very small artery. They kept me overnight and he added Isosorbide mono nitrate 30mg to my meds. Today is Thursday and I still feel lousy. Have pressure a lot of the time behind my left shoulder blade, cold sweats on and off and so fatigued.

Hi Shawna!
Sorry to hear about your pain and what you've just been through, is there any way you can get a 2nd opinion? There must be something going on. I'm sorry I can't help, all I can do is say I hope you find the cause and feel much better soon.
Hugs,
lidia xx

Hi Shawna -

Two weeks ago, I had similar symptoms that sent me to the emergency room; spent the day - all heart tests were fine (had bypass 2 years ago). My pain was in upper back, chest and right shoulder. During CT scan, they found a gallstone. 1 visit to cardiologist and 1 visit to gastro doctor later, I am seeing a surgeon next week to schedule gallbladder removal. Who knew the pain could be confused with heart attack pain?

Scottie

Glad to hear that's all it is. I had my gallbladder out several years ago. It is a pretty easy little surgery . . . especially for anyone that has had a bypass!

Today I have weakness on and off in my arms. Some pressure still in my back. I have an appointment Monday with my cardio so will probably just try to wait and see him then.
