Take Care!

Hi I am also new to this site. I am had a massive heart attack on june 16th of this year. I had a sudden cardiac arrest. thankfully it happenned in the ER. I am 32 years old with 2 children , getting married october 7th and a third year nursing student . I have major issues with medicines right now. I am always dizzy and constantky worry about restonosis as my lad was completley blocked and now i have a drug eluding stent in place. There is no cardiac rehab where i live but i am in constant pain, it is nice to be able to communicate with othere younger people who have been through the same thing.

Hi, Shannon.
I am a 31 year old who had a quadruple bypass for coronary artery disease when I was 29. It sounds like you could use some support and someone who can understand heart disease. So, I wanted to put my hands out and offer you my support and understanding. It is so hard to be a young woman with this disease. I have just returned from the Mayo Clinic where WomenHeart had a symposium, and I am now an official spokeswoman for WomenHeart. I met quite a few ladies at the symposium, so I am more familiar with other types of heart disease now. Please contact me anytime. I am here for you. You are definitely not alone in this struggle.

Hi, my name is Angeline Moore and am 31 years old. I developed peripartum cardiomyopathy almost 4 years ago. I have three children, ages 10, 5 and almost 4. There is absolutely no one in the area of Salem, Oregon of my age (the youngest woman is in her 50's) that has heart disease. I have been searching and searching for some kind of support group but they just don't have one. Everyone is a grandparent and doesn't have to go thru the daily raising of their children and deal with heart disease. I would love to hear from anyone and would consider advice a god-send.

thanks so much,

angeline

Hi Lester,

Welcome, welcome. Would you consider reposting what you wrote with the title something like 'Age 32, 66 shocks in 2 days'? THat way you will get an immediate response from a number of women who can help you.
Hang in there......Glad you are still with us!!

Hugs to you and your family,
Jaynie

ps. THis was an old thread originally but it might be helpful to point out that older women offering heart attack support may have been very young like you when their heart problems began or were identified and can therefore share a great deal of hard earned knowledge with young moms juggling heart issues, medications, careers and kids, partners.

Only 28 years old!!
Hi: Back in March 09 I had a I.C.D. implanted .I would like to talk or write to you someday. I have had 66 shocks in 2 days around June 1/ 09. I would like to talk to somebody that has had a shock . As you can see I am a little shell shocked.
We have a 3 year old son that is very active. Some days it is very trying because i am tired all the time.
