Martha's story online

Hello Heart Sisters!

Many of you will remember our Martha (PatyblueTx) from her postings here last year.

She's been busy trying to make babies these days, but meanwhile I thought her story about her Peripartum Cardiomyopathy diagnosis at such a young age was so amazing that I've just posted it at:

http://myheartsisters.org/2009/07/29/martha/

- along with a gorgeous new photo of her!

Also, check out her new blog 'A Trip Down Mommy Lane' at http://tripdownmommylane.blogspot.com/ that will document her new journey towards motherhood again after losing her baby daughter in '07.

XOXOXO

WOW Carolyn! You did an awesome job! Tho I have to say seeing my face that prominent on something is kind of weird! LOL But as far as the article goes, you did an excellent job at explaining PPCM! WTG!

Thanks Martha - until I heard your story, I had never even heard of PPCM, so you have done a great service to so many by educating and advocating for young pregnant women.

XOXOXO

Martha luv,

Your story is deeply moving. I so wish you had been taken to a regular room rather than port-partum...I will never understand the practice of taking women who have just lost a baby into the same area as women who are holding new babies in their arms.

Here's to GREEN LIGHTS!!! This is a happy time for you and hubby. I'm heading out to buy a pretty new flower to plant....following the old North Carolina mountain custom of placing something lovely on the ground for the lost babies, then planting the flower atop for the babies to come. I'll be placing a seashell, one of the most beautiful forms of nature's natural architecture.

Best of luck to you!!! I'll be checking your blog often : )

hugs and hugs,
Jaynie

Awww Jaynie!!!! That's so sweet! And the seashell...totally an awesome mermaid touch!

Martha, you are so brave and articulate and totally deserving of not just a baby, but one who sleeps through the night from a very early age! Your blog and your courage are really inspiring!

Now then, Carolyn, is that a heart made out of a cherry and a chocolate kiss? How perfect!
