Hi there, I was just wondering if anybody with an ICD could tell me if they were receiving annual inductions- where they sedate you and put you into V-fib to make sure your ICD fires. I had it done a few months after my implant last year while I was still in Denver. Now I have moved to NY and my new cardiologist says he doesn't think this is needed, some dr's do it and some don't. I must mention that I did not like him much anyway as he barely paid any attention to me and I had to stop him from walking out the door after only two minutes with me and he basically dismissed me. Never mind I am a 27 year old with a diagnosis of cardiac sarcoidosis!!
Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone here had any input or experience with these 'inductions'
thanks,
danamae
