I am not a stent candidate, but hopeful...

I read this today and it gives me hope...
What does the future hold for stent design? Bioabsorbable stents may provide an alternative for the "full metal jacket," allowing the functionality of the epicardial vessel to be restored. In theory, they would allow the topical treatment of the vessel lesion, then vanish without leaving behind a platform which can protrude into the lumen, creating disruption to blood flow and causing an inflammatory response. As the menu of available stents grows, new technologies expand the horizon of possibilities.

Maybe by the time I have another issue, they will have a stent for me.
Much Love,
Stacey

Stent Stroke

Hi Stacey,

Do you have a link to this info? I am allergic to metal so the stents they want to place in me will not work... I have heard about the bio absorbable stents in the news I think but can't remember where I heard of it.

So for me its stents that my body will reject or bypass or stroke (not good choices I guess)...

Take care,
Karen

Hi Stacey.
That sounds very hopeful. If you do have a link for the article I would also like to read it. Hope you are well.
