How does it really feel to have a heart attack?

Ladies,

Read this exceptional collection of descriptions, sensitively edited and collaged by Carolyn Thomas (kennarina) on her blogsite and WorldPress.com link.

Please pass these links forward to everyone you love and medical staff you encounter during visits. This collection is sure to save lives. I was very moved by everyone's personal story and grateful to everyone who chose to share it with Kennarina. No two stories were exactly alike, which may be unique to female heart attacks.

Kenna,

Awesome. I am very interesting in hearing about what your experience was at the symposium. Do you recommend going through the process to get in?

kardia

Read both places. wonderful work.

Thank you all, and thank you Jaynie - I should hire you as my agent!!

Kardia, the WomenHeart Symposium was indescribable - a life-altering experience. I've written more about this on the Mayo Clinic website at: http://sharing.mayoclinic.org/2009/05/28/pinot-and-prevention/

Several women on this site are also Mayo 'grads' and I know they'll agree that this is definitely worth applying for. Keep in mind that the Symposium has a very clear purpose: to train heart patients to help raise women's awareness of heart disease back home, so graduates must commit to at least 24 hours of volunteer work back in their home communities - public speaking, running support groups, staffing information booths at health fairs, you name it.

Are you considering this for next year maybe?
XOXOXO
