Sorry you didn't get picked but maybe next year will be your year. I wonder how many applications they get and how many spots there are for the symposium?

My application was rejected too nanamo.......'more higher caliber applications than we can accomodate'.
So, I will go ahead and start a local support group for women since there isn't one here where it is packed with women. The only WH group I can get to is out in the boonies 45 minutes away where I am headed tonight. Maybe more than one other person will show up.

Please don't stop putting in for acceptance to the Symposium. You are such high caliber women. Perhaps there were several women from your geographical location. Usually there are 50 women picked to attend each year and it's difficult to pick out the large numbers of applications they receive each year. So, keep trying. Next year might just be the one!
How disappointing! Last year, we were also told that there were far more applicants than there were possible spots. Given that we're all heart patients, however, there were a few no-shows at Mayo because of health reasons. I'm wondering if WH might have a waitlist for those who might be able to attend on relatively short notice? Worth another email, maybe?

I'm sorry to hear........but encourage you to apply next year as it's the best thing you will do for yourself in this decade! It is a fab experience!
