I just have to share...The Puppies are here!!! Our Basset hound pups were born on New Years Day by C-section. One baby boy was sideways and blocking the other 4. Mother and babies are doing well. You can see them on our site... brittsbassets.com. Cuddling these little furry creatures are doing a ton of good for my blood pressure and stress level. Saw my cardiologist for a follow up appt on the 29th and discussed the numbness and cyanosis in my fingers. He said possible Raynauds Disease but maybe since I have degenerative disc disease of my upper spine and carpel tunnel that maybe an adjustment by my chiropractor would be all I would need. Hope so. The glove on my hand immediately after my finger turned white and started to pound ....did help a little. We will see. Getting bloodwork on Monday to check the LDL, HDL, Triglycerides and Cholesterol levels. Haven't been as good as I should have been over the holidays so not looking forward to the results. Oh well I am getting back on track again. My wishes for a Happy Healthy 2009 to everyone.

My son raises Maltese dogs. When he got married the tribe left the house. I missed them terribly ( dogs I mean) Well, he and his wife surprised me with a puppy on Christmas. Coco was nestled in a "Merry Christmas " bag. She didn't make a sound for the 10 minutes they carried her around the house. There was tissue paper on top of her and she kept silent as I attempted to find out what was in the bag. The little button is keeping me busy, but I love her to death. Right now she is nestled behind me in bed as I type this post.

PS Glad you had a successful delivery despite all the problems.

I love to cuddle our pups. We did lose one little boy to Fading Puppy Snydrome. He was the one caught in the birth canal. We do have 4 very strong ones left though and all but one have a home. We are thinking of keeping that one too. I got my blood work back from the cardiologist and everything was in normal range so I must be doing something right. Cuddles for Coco, nothing like a puppy to help keep that blood pressure down. Have a great day.
