yippee!!! I posted the use of chocolate milk as the preferred recovery beverage for athletes when I came across an actual research paper submitted by the sports med Olympic swim team doctors entitled something like 'The efficacy of chocolate milk as the most efficent sports recovery drink". After I stopped laughing my head off, I read on. Turns out that competitive swimmers must be able to finish a race, then be on deck for another competition within 20 minutes or more. Solid foods can't metabolize fast enough.....milk was perfect. CHOCOLATE MILK!!! weehaaa I LOVE my chocolate milk although I try not to overdo. I've learned to blend it with a lot of crushed ice to tamper my consumption and also turn it into a delicious 'pretend' shake.

Organic milk is best......non organic is much cheaper but those poor milk cows are pumped with huge syringes of antibiotics and hormones...and artificially inseminated 2 days after giving birth to keep them constantly impregnated and lactating. Let's take a moment of silence to thank all those millions of milk cows! Bless em : )

Thanks for the link Sherrie.

Dear Mermaid,

Somehow I knew you were going to show up here.

Gosh, I guess I will start in on the huge box of hot chocolate mix I just bought at Costco. The only part of the formula the does not fit for me is the
"athlete" but perhaps I will feel less guilty in indulging now. Joyce

Ice cold milk whisked with chocolate syrup, a dash of Bailey's and a scoop of ice-cream........no? I can dream can't I?

I prefer Silk chocolate milk. It is made with soy. Try it if you haven't yet. It is worth the additional cost. Isn't there health benefits for consuming soy?

No wonder I would only drink chocolate milk as a child. My body knew what my brain didn't. I hate milk, but I LOVED chocolate milk.

I am drinking goats milk kefir now, and love love love it. So maybe I should add some chocolate to it.

Hugs,
Kathi

I am with Kathi, I hate white milk but love chocolate milk. I have been like this since I was a kid too. What great news now I can have chocolate milk more than every couple of months and not feel bad.

I forget if it was Wednesday or Thursday that was National Chocolate day. and In celebration of it I brought all my co- workers a small Hershey bar. Quite a few called to say how did you know I was sitting here dying for chocolate? I answered because I am alway dying for chocolate so why shouldn't you be.

However, there is danger in the office today. Everyone, including me, brought in the left over trick or treat candy and all chocolate is everywhere. I am trying to make a good choice and eat my cheerios but I have to walk by the stuff no matter which way I go. Say a prayer that I don't eat half the bowl.

Warm Regards,

Rose
