Thanks!! I'm so excited -- I wonder what all this excitement will do to my heart!!! HA HA
congratulations Dana! Your enthusiasm will be infectious. This is the beginning of your reaching out to a lot of other women.

I'm looking forward to making this trip alone. It will be the first ALONE trip since my heart surgery. I used to take an R&R 3-day weekend by myself every year before homeschooling started -- but since the heart attack.....welll....you can probably imagine......
SO, this week I'm taking my first long plane ride with my family to go on vacation. Then in October, it will be A SOLO FLIGHT.....
I can do this. I can do this.
NO DOGS......well, now that's sad.......LOL
Congrats Dana. You will have the time of your life!
When I flew to Minnesota last October to attend this Symposium, it was my first plane ride since my heart attack (which had happened five months earlier during a long flight home from Ottawa to the West Coast). As you can imagine, I was a tad anxious about getting back on a plane...
Any other applicants out there heard anything yet as well?

Congratulations - my flight to Minnesota last year was my first long plane ride EVER - and to do it solo and my first alone time since my triple bypass a yr and a 1/2 earlier. But it was all worth it - Mayo was the best thing ever. I pray you have as much fun as I did...as I know you will :) Can't wait to hear the stories from this years grads.
I'm so glad you are getting to go! Whooppee!
When I went last year, it was the most blessed time alone and the most wonderful experience of being with others who really understood heart disease!
You will have such a wonderful time!!!!!!!!!
Congrats!!!!!

You will be a wonderful representative for all of us here - congratulations!
Laura
Congrats...and I get to go, too! So, I will finally get to meet you. I am really looking forward to it and learning so much more about WomenHeart and heart disease. It will be a true honor to attend. Chat with you more later about it.

I am excited about getting my letter and am looking forward to the whole experience. Anyone else flying out of Atlanta?
Marilyn
My letter came yesterday too. I'm looking forward to seeing live faces and voices instead of pictures and emails. See y'all soon!
Congrats to all of you! You will never forget this experience. To be able to come back to your communities after the symposium and carry the message to other women is indeed priceless.

Dear Dana,
I just got back from Mayo as a patient. Everyone at Mayo and the town were wonderful to me. I stayed across the street from St. Mary's Hospital until I went into the hospital. It will be exciting to hear about all you learn.
oH THIS IS EXCITING that so many of us are going!!! Can't wait to meet everyone!!!!
Did the letter have the names of all who are going. I am traveling and not getting mail, so I was wondering if they posted the names anywhere??? i only have email right now.

WOW! to see so many of our friends on this site getting to go to Mayo. You'll never forget this experience and it will keep you on a high for quite a while. I'm so excited for you. Last year I was so honored to be chosen to go to Mayo and it really exceeded my wildest dreams of what the experience would be like. You get to meet so many women who are just like you and that is so comforting. Love to you all. Soak up all the experiences and we who have been there are waiting to hear your stories.
I received my acceptance letter this morning and am so excited...the phone has been ringing non-stop and now a chance to talk to my heart sisters...this is just what I and my community need...One year out this
Thursday, August 6th a perfect anniversary gift...
Looking forward to meeting each and everyone of you
Deb
