Complications with arterial closure device

0 Recommendations

Be an advocate for you own body and do the research before having a procedure. Find out what is available in that particular hospital and what their policies are on obtaining hemostasis after they have put a sheath in your artery. I can tell you from my own experiences that they used a Catalyst III closure device from Cardiva Medical and it worked wonderfully. It is known to have very little if any complications. I had no pain and there was no foreign material left in my leg compared to my best friend who just had a cath last week and they used the Mynx. She has had severe pain in her leg for a week now.
