Back in the Hospital

Well, I dehydrated from being back on the Lasix. And with my "medical history" they kept me overnight. I'm back home just in time to go see Chicago and Earth, Wind and Fire tonight. I also found out the Plavix works. The nurse took out the IV and slapped a bandage on my arm. I then headed out of the hospital. As I was almost at the front door a girl sitting in a waiting area said me.."Excuse me mame, you are bleeding." I Looked down and yes, I was bleeding. Blood was running down my arm, into my purse and all along the floor. I turned around and grabbed a nurse, who had to look for gloves. The next thing I know they are calling housekeeping STAT!!! Seems I had created a biological hazard. However, they seemed less interested in helping me stop the bleeding. So, I know Plavix is doing something.

Plavix Lasix Bruises

I can appreciate your story, Lynn. I scratached a simple mosquito bite the other day and it kept bleeding for 8 hours! It wasn't gushing or anything, but it just kept going and going and going. . . Plavix and aspsirin - a vampire's cocktail - LOL

Hi Lynne, when I was on plavix and asprin, I had to get off of one of them because I had the same issues as you are experiencing. I was light headed to the point that I thought I could feel the blood rushing through the veins in my head..So my doctor ran some tests, and suggested for me to try and just take the asprin....well it worked for me...and I have been plavix free for almost 6 years now. The healing process of scraps and bruises take longer when you are on plavix, but you do heal in the long run....
