Altace ok for Prinzmetal's????

Hi again. Just re-posting a partial post from my last thread.

So frustrating dealing with a few ailments.

I have Prinzmetal's and we all know that drs can't agree on anything.

One wanted me just on Altace, baby dose of 1.5mg for my labile hypertension.

I'm just curious as to whether or not this would worsen symptoms of Prinzmetal's or is it neutral? Unlike perhaps a beta blocker.

I asked about Imdur but was told that since it hasn't been documented that I have Prinzmetal's (sorry drs but you're not here with me at night with your ekg machine while it's happening!) and was told that it was a necessary drug.

I'm frustrated, confused and angry.

So can Altace (rampril) cause a spasm or not? Anyone on this drug alone and who might have coronary spasms????

Also, has anyone had a bad allergic reaction to it? When you read the side effects of an ACE inhibitor it's scary with swelling and such. I live alone and it's even more scary.

Trying to find someone to stay with me until I see how I'll react is not happening. Also, I've gone in anaphlactic shock twice on two meds - compazine and contrast dye.
