Yesterday I had my first outpatient infusion session at the hospital. They could not fit me in at the oncologists. They were equally impressed with my Snuggie. My blood pressure is high due to the avastin and they started me on blood pressure meds at the hospital. That is the only thing that has been different about my treatment. By the time I got home, my lower extremities and face were bright red and swollen.
I called the onco on call and they told me to take some benedryl and prednisone and watch my breathing. I made it through the night and wonder if any one else may have had an unusual reaction similar to this?
