I have heard of this new finding. But, apparently it is a specific type of breast cancer that taxol does not work in. have you heard anymore?
I believe that women with breast cancer that's HER-negative and ER-positive are the ones who may not benefit from Taxol. I think Taxol does benefit women with HER2-positive breast cancer.
I am a survivor of estrogen positive breast cancer. I was diagnosed in early 2003 and completed treatments in Jan. of 2004.
Part of that treatment was Taxol. I hope what you folks heard about Taxol is not true. It makes me want to throw a very large fit if it does not work. Taxol nearly killed me. I have so much residual neuropathy that I have never been totally without some sort of pain medicine since 2004.
The reason I am responding to this blog is to discuss living with neuropathy, and what happens when our five years are up. Everyone I know except my daughter who had some sort of terribly aggressive non extrogen positive breast cancer, have gone on some type of drug for five years following treatment.
