I was diagnosed with cervical cancer when I was 23. After going through radiation and a partial hysterectomy it was hard for me to find people my age going through what I was going through. I have now been in remission for 5 YEARS (WOO HOO) and am now CO-Chair of an organization called I'm too young for this ( www.imtooyoungforthis.org ) Its a resource and support website for young adults under 40 facing cancer.
Just wanted to put it out there for anyone who may benefit from it. Also feel free to contact me as well.

Thanks for the information! It's a great group.

I was diagnosed with Stage IIIB Lung cancer at the age of 35 and was told I had it for about 2 years. My son was 2 at the time and now he is 5. I am a 3 year survivor!!!

xoxo to all

Hi,
I realize this is a little off-topic so I hope it’s OK. I run the Connecticut Challenge, a non-profit organization that funds two cancer survivorship clinics and survivorship research at Yale Cancer Center. The clinics have been extremely well received by survivors and we are now working to expand the types of programs we can offer and the number of survivors we can reach. Before we do this, we want to learn from cancer survivors about their needs and the services they feel would be most helpful. If you are a survivor, I hope you can help by taking 10-minutes to complete our online survey at http://ctchallenge.org/survivorsurvey. If you’re not a survivor, you can also help by forwarding the survey link to survivors you know. You don’t have to live in Connecticut to help. If you have questions, you’ll see my contact information on the survey page.
Thanks,

Thanks for that info, I have had cancer since I was 25, and am now cancer free at 39. I have checked out the website. What a great resource. I feel old!!! I wish I found this resource before I was headed to 40 :) Thanks. Tree
