penicillamine allergy

0 Recommendations

Hi people!

I have a question - does anyone know if it is possible for me to test if I'm alergic to penicillamine? Does anyone know some place where these kinds of test are done? I have this unexplained itching (mainly on my feet). I have no rash and no other changes on my skin, but it still itches... So I'm affraid it might be becouse of the Artamin (D-penicillamine), strange though, I have been on it for almost almost 4 months so, I don't know if it is even possible... Has it happened to anybody here? I need your help, please...

best regards to all, Anja

sorry to hear about your itch. You say you are on d-pen for 4 months and you have started this itch recently. How are your LFT( liver function test)? If they are fine then you should not worry but should consult your doctor about it. I had itch and then rash but this was after using d-pen for long time not for little like yours. I have not heard anyone getting itch after using d-pen. In any thing you are not sure about it you should take advice of doctor. wish you well bye

Hey anja!
Im sorry to hear that! So there are no WD experts in macedonia? hhmmmmmmmm.. maybe you can see your regular house doctor???/ Maybe he knows a place where you can get tested!

You know, personally i think its just a side effect (just like the pain in myy legs caused by trientine), so dont worry to much. stress it never good for your recovery!
All the luck!!
Cas
