Hi, I am new on this site. My best friend was recently diagnosed with W.D. and I would like to help her find a specialist in British Columbia, Canada. Would anyone know of one and could you please tell me the name and possibly the phone number where this doctor can be reached? My friend is seriously ill and I don't think it's a good idea to just let her G.P. look after her. I want only the best for my friend. Thank you for your help.... Friend_for_life.
I would suggest contacting Dr. Brewer at the University of Michigan. They are looking for newly diagnosed Wilson's Disease patients. If she doesn't mind going to Michigan she may get free treatment and follow-up, including medication.
