I'm utterly perplexed, frustrated and downright angry. On a recent family vacation, I re-discovered just how challenging it is for people to eat healthy. I visited Tennessee which has the 2nd highest obesity rate in the country. There were a plethora of fast food chains to choose from. Of course I know how to pick healthier choices on the menu. I've done my research and I know about the healthy fare "culprits" out there. However, what about the folks out there who think they're eating healthy but might as well be eating a super-sized value meal?
I returned from vacation with a renewed sense of responsibility - responsibility to educate everyone I know about the perils of fast and "convenient" foods. I have a self-imposed mandate to influence the health and fitness choices of this generation and future generations. Regular consumption of fast food isn't something to play with. The effects of it are are detrimental. Enough!
