Hi everybody! I am new to this website but not to the weight loss challenge. I have been fighting to lose wieght since the birth of my daughter (3 years ago). I have been seriously working out and eathing right for over a year and have only lost a few pounds. I even joined a gym and have taken Zumba classes. Still nothing. I am really looking for a way to get past the stalemate and move forward. Right now I feel like giving up. My husband loves me the way I am but I hate it. Was a size 6 and I am currently a size 10 despite all I do. I am hoping this site will provide insight and of course inspiration! Anybody need a weight loss buddy?

Hi, I just joined this group a few days ago to help me keep my weight off and because I like to support others in losing weight and getting healthy. My daughter and I had the same experience you did - couldn't lose weight gain from pregnancy. I ended up with 10 lbs. I kept on after pregnancy. I could sort of live with the 10 lbs. but the accompanying increase in my cholestrol was affecting my health. My daughter weighed 62 lbs. more than pre-pregnancy and kept that weight on for about 10 years. We were both able to lose our weight eating 6 small low-glycemic meals a day. It took her 6 months and me 3 weeks. It is the first thing that had worked for either of us and it was actually pretty easy. Anyway, I'd love to support you in any way I can.

I was fairly sure others had experienced this and it is great to see that I am not alone.
