The VHF Family Alliance is now active with Webinars. You will need your telephone and an Internet connection to participate. To register, go to http://vhl.org/support/webinar.php.

If you have already registered, you should have received an email with the password. If you didn't receive an email with the password, register again. I think there was a clich in the system. It didn't show I was registered till I did it again.

The first one will be held tomorrow on Wednesday at 8pm eastern time.

I cant figure out how to register...Help! I clicked the link, and I see the "register" button to the right of the listed "webinars", but what it takes me to is a page where I can join the webinar. It won't let me join until the seminar begins.

Is the registration somewhere else on the same page?

I agree with you beverly2. I had a hard time at first figuring this all out too. I suppose this will smooth out once it gets in full swing. I ended up emailing to the link to get directions on what to do. But there were other family members who just wanted to sit in and listen, and nothing was real clear on how to do it. So I've been rushing around all day today trying to find out what I need to do to set it up for them. Emails are coming in slow. I'm hoping they still have time to give us direction. Try emailing them to get your password. It worked for me. Best of luck!

Apologies for the startup glitches! We newbies accidentally cancelled the meeting last night and reinstated it right away, but the registration was not open until 5 pm Eastern tonight. That explains what Beterly and Minimamma experienced (Sorry!)

I think it's all smoothed out now. You should be able to register (I tried it). If you were registered previously, please verify the login information. I don't have the old stuff so I can't check to see if it has changed, but here's where you can find the "REAL" info you will need tonight:

click on "VHL 101"
it will ask for a meeting password, which is "Beginning1" (note the capital B)
Then it will display the information you will need to log in.

Whew! It will indeed get smoother as we move forward.

We are going to offer another "live" session of VHL 101 later in October. What's a good time for those of you who want to attend? It will be October 18 or later -- let me know what would work for you and we'll try to choose a time that's convenient.

The 8 pm timeslot was intended to be after work for those in California. But we could also do it on the weekend if that's better. Please let me know.

Personally, with me working a 3rd shifters schedule, its always good about 1-5 p.m. in the afternoon. I just happened to have tonight off for this one! However, I know most people are working at the time that I am waking up and at home. I found it to be very interesting, however, alot of information to soak in at one time, overwhelming at some times, but still, very good! Looking forward to the next one I can attend, or even listen to the play back on. Good job Joyce! and all the participants that were there!

Dr. Eric Jonasch of M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston will give his talk on Clinical Trials this Friday morning at 10:30 AM Eastern US Time, which I believe is 3:30 PM in the UK, or 4:30 PM in Europe.
