VHL Awareness

0 Recommendations

As I've said a couple times here, we're having a pancake breakfast fundraiser here in Tampa in August.

Along with fundraising, I would also like our efforts to be put toward VHL awareness. I thought that it would be very cool to have a "faces of VHL" walk for people as they come into the restaurant. I plan on having 8 1/2 by 11 boards with a picture and story on each board. I think it would have great impact.

Please send me stories and pictures! (If you're unsure how to write your story, just send me th e information. I'll write the story for you!) It's a great idea, but I really need helping making it happen!

It's a neat idea, Beverly, but a somewhat inappropriate request here. People come here expecting anonymity. We do NOT have permission to use stories or photos from the blogs here.

I would suggest that you go to vhl.org and search for "mystory" with no space. That's a tag that will bring up all the personal stories that have appeared in the newsletter. There are photos on many of those pages. You could use a collage of those photos and stories, which have been written to preserve the person's privacy while sharing their story to help others.

If you need anything else, please call me at 617-277-5667 ext 4. I'll be in the office every day this week except Wednesday.

Thank you, and best wishes for a very successful pancake breakfast!

Oops! I guess that I thought that if people emailed me, they wouldn't mind having stories told. Of course, my message might have been a little confusing also, as I don't know if I ;mentioned emailing in it. Of course if people would like to email and tell their story, I would still love to do this.
