Those who have benefited from the Alliance for many years know that we all owe endless thanks to a group of die-hards that make it happen in the early years......Peggy & Don, Altheada, Fran, and probably a few more. Gale, you are on that list too! And, a lot of medical professionals that responded to us in those formative years.
But Joyce was always the visionary that made us reach for more. She was always the engine that got things done (I don't know how she has time to sleep). She was always the architect that could see a better system to get connected. The VHL Alliance has defined who she is....it is her identify....her most important life's work. Nobody else has thrown their whole selves into the Alliance like Joyce has. In turn, she has defined what the Alliance is. I am convinced we would not be as powerful as we are today without her at the helm.
Thank you Joyce! You are changing lives. Thank you! Thank you!
