I have been posting about SRS for spinal tumours recently, and my son after having a tumour removed from his spine was about to start a 6 week course of radiotherapy to treat a larger tumour that is embedded in his spinal chord. However this has now had to be postphoned because on Friday just gone, he had to have an MRI scan, he hasn't been feeling to well, and was developing new symptoms which didn't fit in with a spinal tumour, slurring his speech, co-ordination problems etc, only to be told that one of the tumours on the brainstem that has a cyst (we have been keeping an eye on this one) has done the dirty, the cyst has become a very large cyst! So this Friday 17th he is going to have yet more surgery to remove two tumours from the brainstem and decompress this large cyst.
I know that I keep asking, but PLEASE will you once again keep my son safe in your prayers?

My son had a hemangioblastoma removed from his spinal cord seven weeks ago. He had a tough time for quite awhile but is improving.
I understand what you are going thru and will say a prayer for both of you.

Thank you for all your prayers, my son's surgery to remove a tumour on the brainstem and to decompress a large cyst has gone well, his balance now is a lot better, co-ordination in his right hand and speech all improved, even his humour has returned!!
So we now prepare for the next hurdle, radiotherapy for the spinal tumour we don't know when they will want to start, hopefully soon, but not too soon as my son could definately do with just a little recovery time, although we know that this tumour is still growing so time is of the essence!
Thank you again for all your prayers and all the postive thoughts that have kept my son safe and brought him through yet more surgery. :o)

Congratulations on such a good outcome from the brain stem surgery!
Yes, a little time off sounds like a good idea. If you'd like to talk about the radiotherapy for the spinal tumor, I would love to hear what they are proposing.

Thank you for all your prayers.
My son is now 2 thirds of the way through his radiotherapy, his mobility is declining fast, but we were warned about this as the tumour will swell before, hopefully, shrinking. We just don't know how much the spinal chord will recover.
So we just look forward, we hope and we pray.
