Steve Jobs

Did anyone else read the article about Steve Jobs? The AP just realeased an article where it says that he is taking a six month leave due to his health issues. It then says that he has already undergone surgery for a neuroendocrine tumor in his pancreas, which I know some of us VHLers have. Then it says that Jobs had "sophisticated blood tests that revealed new information about Jobs' health". Do you think it's possible that he has been given a VHL diagnosis? Obviously I feel terribly for Jobs and his family no matter what is going on with his health. But a part of me feels like this could be very good for all of us with VHL if he does in fact have VHL. A very powerful, wealthy and famous person could do a lot of good and bring a lot of attention to the disease. I'll be praying for Mr. Jobs and his family. It's a weird bag of emotions cause of course I wish for him to be well, but also the "what if's" are pretty exciting.

hmmmm. Interesting observation. He could keep the VHLFA Office supplied with computer equipment. Maybe he'd bankroll my show.

;-) Gotta have a sense of humor.

If Steve Jobs has VHL, I'm further convinced that we all have intense and fantastic gifts that go along with the hardship of this disorder.

i saw it on the news, they were talking about his leave of absence and his weight loss......i haven't heard about the VHL connection yet....

i hate to say it, but it may be a blessing in disguise. he can bring way more attention to it, especially if he get's on Mother Oprah!
