You are an inspiration to the rest of us!

I suggest that the fund-raising be "tied" to research...either for cancer research, or medical research in general. Our fund-raising would specifically be for VHL, but if we could piggy back this onto an already existing "National Awareness Day" or something like that, it gives us a springboard to work from.

Another thought is to find a celebrity as the spokesperson....are there any celebrities in the VHL Alliance? Or does someone know a celeb that might help.

One more thought....."revolution" creates a message of "change" So the theme has to be something more than just asking for donations. It has to be for a noble cause, to change the world, to overthrow cancer, to once and for all beat the enemy....something like that.

Keep thinking. Keep good advisors. Delegate to lots of helping hands to get more done. You are off to a great start.

I love the idea of a "Revolution" Day to raise funds to fight VHL. Great idea, Alex! Lets pick a day that does not conflict with any of the holiday seasons for any of the nations and faiths around the world.

Having a world-wide day should certainly be a news-worthy item everywhere, especially if Alex and his family felt comfortable with him being a spokesperson or poster-teen for the event. Alex deserves a lot of credit and recognition for all his hard work and fantastic ideas. There're too many negative stories in the media daily about teens and not enough about teens like Alex who are role models for all of us. I think it would be a perfect news topic in all forms of media, especially if Alex and his Revolution day (as well as all he's accomplished with the Lemonade Stand) got exposure on Television. It would be a great way to advertise the Revolution fundraising day. If I were a talk show host, I'd be honored to interview him. It would be an excellent way to not only advertise the event and recognize Alex for his accomplishments, but also to get the world to hear what VHL is all about. -Who could resist listening to him when they see that handsome smile.
