More Complications.

Hey all

I was just wondering if anyone had had any complications following vitrectomy, lensectomy, and retinectomy surgery? I had all of the above done in march resulting in silicone oli being placed in the eye. Then had to have some major scar tissue removed back in may and the oil topped up.

Now the doctors (not my doctors because my doctor has decided to dissappear for 3 months) are telling me that i have got early on-set secondary glaucoma and are being very unclear as to what the course of action will be other than prescribing travatan and cosopt.

I was under the impression that removing the oil in good time would prevent this but this has not been done. There is also the problem of whats left of my retina being some what 'delicate' for want of a better word and probably detatching itself on removal of the oil.

Any similar stories and outcomes would be much appreciated, and just general guidance really.

Claire
