CANNIBAS SHRUNK MY TUMORS

3 Recommendations

I just want to share my experience with you all. It started three years ago when i read an article on the internet about cannibas , stating that it was responsible for shrinking tumors in , it particulary worked well on tumors situated in the lungs, brain and breast. At the time i had three tumors on my brain which was causing me massive problems, i was in and out of hospital all the time during this period for about a year. So at this point i felt i had nothing to lose and all i had to look forward to was three major ops, one of which was a threat to leaving me parapelegic, so i decided to try this cannibas theory for myself. Also around this time my appetite had gone out the window due to constant vomiting, i went from 9stone to 5 1/2 stone in a very short time.
So my experiment began by smoking just one spliff(i believe this is the term used), and much to my amazement my medication reduced, painkillers werent needed as often and my appetite returned almost immediately, the vomiting stopped.
Three years down the line after a routine MRI scan, the tumor that was in my cerebellum dissapeared completely and the other two tumors had been reduced to pin head size, they expected to have to operate in those three years just before christmas 2007, but now my surgeon says he may never need to operate again or at least for a very long time, it was the best christmas present i had ever had in my life.

Annieappleseed does not have VHL. Her information is reliable for cancer in general. Note that there is nothing about shrinking tumors or hemangiomas, only about relieving symptoms.

Cannibis does cause blood vessels to contract, which can be helpful in relieving various symptoms. However it is not a cure.

We have privacy protections here, so if you want to share your story we won't know who you are. Or if you prefer greater privacy than that, send it to me personally at director@vhl.org and I can post it anonymously. We are always interested in hearing possible treatments.

Believe me, if cannibis were effective against VHL, I'd be the first to argue for mainstreaming it! But I don't yet see any evidence for anything other than some relief of pain.

I would be very wary of any statement by any doctor that he will "never" have to operate again. The doctors used to say "you're cured" when they really meant they had fixed this one tumor. Never is a long time.

Best wishes,
Joyce

sorry diane did'nt read your latter post. thanks for the post.

diane,

do you have VHL or were the brain tumours not VHL related?

"As clinical research into the therapeutic value of cannabinoids has proliferated exponentially, so too has investigators' understanding of cannabis' remarkable capability to combat disease. Whereas researchers in the 1970s, 80s, and 90s primarily assessed cannabis' ability to temporarily alleviate various disease symptoms — such as the nausea associated with cancer chemotherapy — scientists today are exploring the potential role of cannabinoids to alter disease progression.

Of particular interest, scientists are investigating cannabinoids' capacity to moderate autoimmune disorders such as multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and inflammatory bowel disease, as well as their role in the treatment of neurological disorders such as Alzheimer's disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (a.k.a. Lou Gehrig's disease.)"

From the medical use section of NORML.org

I found a reference to a study being conducted online about medical use of marijuana. It might be useful to others, and it is obvious you want to be, for you to participate.

Actual study at http://www.procaim.org

I run a website for people with cancer primarily, and those interested in natural approaches, and am used to research. I will show some other references for medical use of marijuana shortly.

hi tacey my brother smoked that stuff but for pain i cant say ive tryed that cause it kills brain cells as ive been told i think there are alot of side effects of that drug be carefull considering this type of thing mate

It you have the reference to the article, please share it.

As far as I know there is no "medical proof" that cannibis shrinks VHL tumors. There may well have been experiments with other kinds of tumors, and it might have some effect, but there no "medical proof" to my knowledge.

Thank you,
Joyce

hi tray, sorry to hear about your son, it is never easy getting bad news.
i lost my left eye in 1983, i was 23yrs old at the time, i was told i had vhl which was very rare and that was it, no one mentioned anymore after that, what was to come etc.
in 1993 i started to have problems with my left leg dragging, after scans etc it was discovered i had a tumor on my spine, infact there was two. i had one op and after recovery i was left walking with a stick, the second op came and thats when i ended up in a wheelchair, wheelchair bound, i was on so much medication i was like a zombie. i lost most of my freinds because i didnt fit in anymore, my freinds were replaced by carers. i feel that i was also mis managed, if they would have removed the tumors sooner i may still be walking now? who knows. in 1999 i started having bad headaches and sickness and i was slowly deteriating everyday, i had doctors out every other day telling me i was suffering with vertigo, even though they were all aware i had vhl. it got so bad a freind took me in her car to the hospital where it was discovered i had a brain tumor in my cerebellum, i was operated on two days later, like your son i was told i would have died if left another couple of weeks, scarey. years passed and i met my partner of today, who has and is very supportive. she wanted to know more about it so we started looking on the internet, we had lost all faith in doctors, so we decidd to try and help ourselves. four years ago i was diagnosed with more brain tumors and was told they were too small to remove yet, one of which was in my cerebellum again, and two on the top of my head.
I was told an operation on this one would possibly leave me parapelegic, so in away i felt like id just been given four years to live, i was 39yrs.
When i met my partner babs i was so scared of telling her i was disabled with vhl, but she was so supportive and has been an inspiration to me, giving me constant help and support and loves me for who i am. She said we wont go down without a fight and thats when we started delving into the internet for answers. We found this article about the cannibas theory and how it had been tested on rats etc and it worked 100% and then they tried it on larger animals and it worked on them too. So we felt we had nothing to lose and i desperately wanted to try it for myself, it was a long shot but it was worth a go, what else did i have to look forward to? So i started my experiment with one spliff a night ( I hate that word but dont know what ele to call them) and straight away my pain lessened, my appetite got bigger, pain killers were reeduced. After a couple of months of smoking it i started having a few "funny turns", i was taken into hospital on a number of occassions, they were talking about TIAs, which is a term used for mini stokes. After three years passed i had a routine MRI scan and they discovered my tumors had reduced in size dramatically and the one in the cerrebellum had totally dissapeared? it was confirmed they wasnt TIAs and the doctors didnt really have any eplanation. I must add adfter each "funny turn", when i came out of hospital, babs said i was like a computer that had been rebooted, in the fact i was more mobile and getting around alot better on my own, and i must admit thats how it felt.
We have come to our own conclussion with a big smile from my surgeon, whatever your doing keep it up, and my genetics told me this is not the first time she had heard of this, and sid if it works for me keep it up.. I have never hid the fact that i smoke cannibas from any of my doctors and since ive been doing it it has been on my medical records.
Obviously they cant advise me to smoke it because it is illegal but i feel through a nod and a wink they said enough. I strongly believe this has helped me and i will continue to smoke it, I know people that dont smoke and have it in tea or cakes, orally, and it works great for their arthiritus, sheer pain relief
I put the "funny turns" down to the shrinking of the tumors, after all it is still movement in the brain isnt it?
any movement in the brain would cause these turns that i was having.
Hope this has has put more light on things for you and your son.
Feel free to stay in touch and best wishes.
regards
Diane
