What is a good weight loss program REALLY

0 Recommendations

How many times have we heard "this program is perfect for you." But it was not designed to keep the pounds off. It was not designed to keep you healthy or you quit counting calories and weigh-ins. What if you could actually find a plan for you and the group was interested in you and your weight loss progress.
Today how hard is it for some of us to lose the weight we need to sustain our healthy and prevent disease?

Have you seen the book, "The Schwartzbein Principle II"? It is lengthy and intense, as Dr. Diana Schwartzbein explains in detail how all your hormones interract, from insulin and cortisole, thyroid, etc. to estrogen and all those. Her premise, "You get well to lose weight, you don't lose weight to get well." In fact, she says that sometimes when you follow the program you will first gain weight because the body needs fats to make hormones, then you lose the weight you need to, eating the same amount of food. Much of my life I was very skinny and could eat anything, then in my 40s I gained quite a bit of weight, eating a careful 1500 calories a day. Neither is a well state to be in.
