Hello....I am very sorry you are having difficulties and hope you find a solution very soon.

( 1 ) Are you taking any medications that may be causing your problems? Medications can cause problems.

( 2 ) Anxiety can also be a cause of such problems. Perhaps, you and your partner should consider
having sexual relations that are " spur of the moment " in nature rather than at usual time in usual place.

( 3 ) An understanding , open-minded, and creative sexual partner can be most helpful in overcoming such difficulties. Orgasm taking a long time to occur can be used to advantage to have an extended session of enjoyable lovemaking. Rather than being concerned with your orgasm, take enjoyment in bringing your partner pleasure and orgasms in a number of ways. Your partner's response and pleasures can be very nice for you.

Good luck....

Well, my partner has the same problem and he is 9 years younger than I am (he is 54). First, alcohol/drug abuse can cause this problem, it is certainly my partners problem.

I am a recovering alcoholic of 27 years, when I was younger I also had problems with sexual dysfunction because of alcohol/drug abuse. This all stopped when I started getting serious about making my life better.

With viagra you must have a desire to have sex or it will not work. If you are drinking to excess or drugging it also may not work due to the numbing effect of the alcohol or drugs. In other words, you can not expect viagra to make the erection. You must have the desire and thoughts to make viagra work, (per my urologist).

If you do not use alcohol/drugs, you should address what is happening with a physician. There could be medical reasons for what you are going through. If you have gone through a rejection, this can also cause impotence.

Eating correctly, exercising, maintaining a good weight and being well rested will also boost your desire and ability to preform. I ride my bike 10 miles 3 times a week; eat lots of fruits and vegies; do not drink alcohol and get plenty of sleep. Do I have health problems? Yes, arthritist, had both knees replaced 7 years ago, spinal tumor removed 8 years ago...the list goes on. The main thing is to keep pushing on and do what is right health wise. At 63, I am still in good shape and sexually active.

You are to young to give up! Don't be afraid to talk to your physician. You should be up front and honest with your physician above all other people.

I have experenced ED for several years but never tried any of the chemical enhancers. Since the condition can be caused by any one of a wide range of other conditions my question is how a substance can avoid affects of an underlying condition.

My urologist simply stated that is some cases the cause for ED is the lack of sufficient or affective stimulation. Changing the visual and emotional atmosphere does make a difference in arousal. I would suggest to change the usual to and otherwise new location or atmosphere when engaging in intercourse.

Chemically induced changes may be enhanced with other kinds of changes surrounding the situation. These changes may eventually lead to discontinuing the chemical. Also, not everyone is equally affected by the same drug, so as much as continue to try your efforts will prove worthless.
