Recent college graduate looking for health insurance advice

0 Recommendations

Hello,

I am a recent college graduate looking for health insurance for the first time and I was wondering if anyone knew of a company other than Aetna, Cigna, or Blue Cross Blue Shield with good coverage.

I am looking for a low deductible with good hospital coverage, and a little bit of coverage with doctor's visits. Emergency coverage is more important to me.

If you live in NY-Capital District Physicians Health Plan is a great insurance company, they have Healthy NY. It is $231.90 average for medical and prescription coverage. It is great coverage. You will not get much cheaper. Hope this helps.

Hello,
My name is Tara and I work with a company that works with a group of local doctors and dentists who would like to offer you, as an individual, a non-insurance discount dental/vision/and prescription drug plan which runs less than $27/month for the entire family.

If you are interested emial me at tparring@gmail.com

United Health Care is a really good one. It's actually the largest in the country. Because it's the largest in the state, they provide more coverage than most companies at a better rate. United Health Care is also good because they are part of an associated group which provide you more longterm protection. I was covered under them when I was in college, and I'm going to be covered with them soon. I'm also an insurance consultant so I know about the crappy things out there. Email me if you want more info. rachel.l.conard@gmail.com
